Café Blume

Sitting outside you hear birds singing from the Hasenheide park just opposite. The wooden slide inside appeals to children, and maybe also to those still young at heart?

Even though it's more like lunchtime, the strawberry cake with pudding inside is simply irresistible. Enjoyed together with a cappucino served with a cantuccini (the small Italian almond biscuit) on the side. The cake was totally worth it but maybe next time one of the various lunches might be more appropriate. Or a late breakfast, served until 3pm. There is also Stulle, which is the Berlin term for buttered bread. Here you can get it in varieties with cheese, salami, Black Forest ham or Obadtza, which is spread cheese spiced with peppers, originally from Bavaria. Brunch lovers can drop by on Sundays and eat their hearts out from 10am-3pm.

If you sit or place your order inside, check out the big and funny photos on the wall depicting with people eating sweets.

Prefer sitting in the park? Then you can order to take away: zum Mitnehmen. During summer you can also watch a movie in Hasenheide's outdoor cinema. It starts at dusk at around 9.30pm.
