Zuckerfee Café und Confiserie
If you know your Tchaikovsky, you will notice the reference to Tanz der Zuckerfee (Dance of The Sugar Plum Fairy). The owner of Zuckerfee got inspired from this ballet and wanted to let it shine through in the atmosphere and the food. If you have a sweet tooth, then this is definitely the place to go. They serve delicious breakfasts in different styles and mouth-watering chocolate cakes. All the breakfasts have a sweet touch starting with yogurt from €3.90 to a big breakfast consisting of scrambled eggs with chanterelles, ham and fresh fruit for €9.90.
Or choose from waffles, French toasts, a variety of cakes and just a hot chocolate from Valrhona. There are also soups and daily lunch offers. You can buy licorice, pralines and organic chocolate at the counter, nice as a present or just to enjoy it yourself.
Many young people and parents with children come here, which fits well with the area. Approximately 50% of the people living in Prenzlauer Berg are between 25 and 45 years old, while in the rest of Berlin, only 30% of the population is within this age range.
At weekends it's recommended to reserve a table.
Not far away is the cozy Helmholtzplatz with a lot of small shops and bars.
