Every Tuesday and Friday you can buy everything from fruits and vegetables to Turkish specialties, olives, meat, textiles, spices, accessoires, clothes, shoes and utensils. Try the freshly made Gözleme, a Turkish pastry often filled with feta and spinach, or a plate of mixed dishes from Ghana. The different Turkish cheese spreads are lecker together with bread and olives.
Its always worth to bargain and the best deals are to be made just before the market closes around 6.30pm. At the East end of the market there is usually live music from various bands playing spontaneously to the multicultural visitors of the market. Sit down by the river, listen, watch and look through your planned (or rather unplanned) buyings.
The crowd and the many different offers make this market a hit, every time.
